FAQs
Do I need to be “tech-savvy” to use your app?
Nope. The app is designed to be user-friendly and has a comprehensive tutorial to answer any questions. Once you sign-up, you will be prompted to save the link to your homepage for easy access.
Are there rescues every day?
Yes. Food Rescue US rescues food seven days a week. All rescues are visible when you login.
What if I have to cancel a rescue?
We understand that things come up and have made it easy to cancel a rescue within the app. We ask that you please give as much notice as possible so that we can find someone else to complete the food rescue.
Can I schedule a recurring rescue?
Yes! We encourage volunteers to “adopt” rescues so they become part of their routine. There’s always someone to cover for you if you’re periodically not available.
How does a food donor or social service agency get involved?
If you are interested in donating your surplus food or receiving food, visit our location page to find a site near you and contact your local Site Director to learn more.
